South Korean K-pop rock band DAY6 under JYP Entertainment is popular for their tours. However, a recent venue turned out to be disgusting, and many people complained about the awful stench that pervaded the place. Read on for more details about the stinky concert.

A Very Bad Smell

Fans looked forward to the popular band’s 10th anniversary tour. After all, DAY6. After all, album, Sunrise, was named one of the greatest K-pop albums of the decade by Billboard. Additionally, they released multiple studio albums and EPs, including their famous The Book of Us series, and they completed several world tours. But this tour, is causing something of a stink.

The stench was too much for fans – Kpop Echo – YouTube

The stinky venue was reported by Koreaboo this weekend, and apparently, there was such a terrible stench that fans described it as smelling like “poop.” The outlet cited one person at the Goyang Stadium as saying that “The poop smell at the DAY6 concert was so bad, I thought maybe I pooped myself and didn’t know.”

Other reactions cited by the outlet came on the Korean community platform TheQoo. Here are some of the comments translated into English:

The News Goes Viral

BLACKPINK had held a concert at the venue, and no problems were reported. But when K-pop Echo reported the stench on YouTube, the narrator noted that many complaints arrived, so many that the news went viral globally. Apparently, some folks thought that the smell might have come from a farm breeding pigs.

However, “Goyang locals quickly pushed back, saying they had never smelled anything that bad in the area before.” The narration included the fact that the “complaints didn’t stay in Korea. On X…both casual listeners and loyal fans chimed in, describing the odor as unbearable and distracting.”

So Disgusting

One person who struggled to cope with the stench at the DAY6 concert was cited as saying, “It was a fertilizer one poop smell. It was so hard that I pulled out my ya-dom Thai nasal inhaler and held it up to my nose. Seriously, the fertilizer smell kept going for a whole hour straight.”

So far, there doesn’t seem to be any explanation from the management at the Goyang Stadium. Located in Goyang, South Korea, the stadium is a multi-use sports venue. Primarily hosting football matches, the stadium was constructed and opened in 2003, and it can accommodate up to 41,311 spectators.

The crowds packed the place, and it seems that every space was taken. Interestingly, there don’t seem to have been any previous reports of a terrible smell pervading the facility. If we ever discover what caused the ruined night for so many concertgoers, we’ll be sure to let you know.
