The anticipation for a full BTS reunion is building, as HYBE CEO Lee Jae-sang addressed the group’s highly anticipated comeback plans during the company’s recent shareholders’ meeting. Held on March 31st in Mapo-gu, Seoul, the meeting covered various topics, including the ongoing ADOR disputes and the future of BTS.
While fielding questions, CEO Lee also provided updates on the return of BTS, whose members are currently fulfilling their mandatory military service. With all members expected to complete their service by June, fans are eager for news of their next steps.
“The members of BTS are scheduled to complete their military service by the end of the first half of this year and return, and preparation and working time will be needed for activities after their return,” Lee Jae-sang stated.
He emphasized that meticulous planning is crucial for a group of BTS’s stature.
“The company is also preparing while discussing with top-tier composers, but the artists’ reflection and preparation are necessary,” he explained.
Lee Jae-sang further outlined the typical process involved in a comeback, which includes song creation, album releases, and subsequent tours.
“Typically, the process involves creating songs, releasing albums, and then going on tour. Since the BTS members have already ascended to global top artist status, discussions about vision and the next steps are ongoing, and it is also essential to contemplate the direction for this.”
Currently, BTS members Jin and J-Hope have completed their military service and are actively participating in activities. RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook are scheduled for discharge in June, along with Suga. The completion of their service in June will mark a significant milestone, paving the way for the potential full-group comeback that fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting.
