NCT WISH’s Riku to Resume Activities After 4 Months of Hiatus

Fans of NCT WISH have received welcome news! After a four-month hiatus due to health concerns, member Riku is set to return to group activities. SM Entertainment released an official statement on February 3rd, confirming the positive development.

The statement, released by NEO Production, detailed Riku’s progress.

“Hello, this is NEO Production. We would like to provide you with an update regarding NCT WISH member Riku’s return to activities.”

It explained that Riku had been focusing on rest and recovery during his time away.

“Riku, who temporarily halted his activities due to health reasons, has been focusing on rest and recovery. We are pleased to inform you that his condition has significantly improved.”

The agency further stated that the decision for Riku to return was made after careful consideration.

“Based on Riku’s desire to resume his activities, as well as the opinions of medical professionals, we have decided to proceed with his return to activities.”

While the group’s scheduled activities for February will proceed with the remaining five members – Sion, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya – fans won’t have to wait long to see Riku back on stage.

“Riku will be greeting the fans starting in March and will be participating in the ‘2025 NCT WISH ASIA TOUR LOG in’ and contributing to the production of a new album, which is scheduled for release in the first half of the year along with its related promotions and activities.”

The statement concluded with a message of gratitude and support.

“We sincerely thank all the fans who have continuously shown warm support and encouragement for Riku. We will also do our best to ensure that Riku can carry out his activities in good health. Thank you.”

NCT Wish star Riku is known for his charming personality and his dimples. Riku was cast through the 2022 SM Global Audition and trained for about one year before joining NCT Wish. He debuted as a member of NCT Wish in February 2024 with the single “Wish“.
