‘Squid Game’ season 3 was a defining moment for June. It was an epic goodbye to a series that literally not only touched but transformed so many lives around the globe. The first season gave birth to a world of mania that even celebrities could not entirely avoid.

In the aftermath of ‘Squid Game’s’ global success, Netflix launched a reality TV series where contestants compete for a large amount of money – I’m talking millions. This same series has just seen its third season renewed, even before the second has had the chance to thrill and engage fans.

‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ To Return For A Third Season As Second Season Changes Rules

‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ is a reality TV series based on Netflix’s hit show ‘Squid Game.’ The Korean drama continues to maintain its position as Netflix’s top show five years after its first season earned 265.2 million views in just 91 days. (The next closest competitors are ‘Wednesday’ Season 1 and ‘Adolescence’ with 252.1 million and 142.6 million views, respectively.)

Drawing elements from the hit drama, ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ sees 456 contestants take part in a back-to-back elimination contests, all in the bid to claim the $4.56 million reward.
Per reports, season 2 will be starting with a clean slate; new cast, new game, new rules. If there’s one constant, it’s probably the network. But that’s not all the excitement that’s to be had from this new season.

What ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ Season 2 Teaser Is All About

Ordered to series in 2022, ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ opened with 20.1 million views, remaining on the Netflix Top 10 for five weeks.

The reality TV series uses visuals and aesthetics reminiscent of the fictional competition it is based on, even though people compete in games that are not nearly as dangerous as the fictional ones.

“And now the real competition returns,” Netflix writes of what has been tagged the biggest reality competition series in the world. In the teaser, we see the competitors in their number tags and are shown glimpses of some of the games they will be engaging in throughout the series.
