D-Nation made three announcements in recent months about the cancellation of 2NE1’s Park Bom at scheduled events. And, K-pop fans grow very irritated about it. Not so much with her, but with the vague excuses about poor health. Read on to find out what folks are saying.
The Latest Cancellation Gave Fans Just Hours Of Notice
On the weekend, the South Korean singer was expected at the Waterbomb Busan 2025 festival. But without much warning, the notice arrived on Instagram that she wouldn’t make it. It seemed to be aimed at her poor health. And, as it’s not for the first time, fans began to grow very irritated.

In the comments section, one of them went off with a long rant, saying in part:
Let’s be honest. She’s likely dealing with some kind of chronic illness. Why couldn’t you just make a general statement at the beginning of her activities with 2NE1 instead of constantly trying to downplay it as an unserious one-time health incident? Not only it’s unprofessional and unfair to the fans but it also attracted so many negative comments accusing Bom of being lazy when she clearly deals with something severe.
Additionally, they felt that the company wasn’t being fair to the performer. After all, people now accuse her of laziness, disinterest, and worse. They did agree that the details are not necessary, but at least some sort of broad acknowledgment might be best.
Previous No-Shows
Eight weeks ago, when Park Bom was expected to appear at the Head in the Clouds festival, another notice arrived about her non-attendance. But no details emerged as to why. So, a follower talked about how they should be more explicit.
They also added, “Can you start explaining things better? If there’s a prolonged issue that affects Bom’s public appearances, a statement should’ve been released as soon as the tour started.”
Then, a week ago, more bad news arrived, a cancellation happened ahead of the UTO Fest in Bangkok. Again, the post talked about “sudden health concerns” without explaining much more. While fans hope that Park Bom will be okay, they slammed D-Nation for being so casual about what seems to be something of long duration and potentially bad news.
Fed Up With It
It’s unethical, critics claim, to leave fans hanging. And, they seem to be totally over the attitude that it’s okay to just dish bad news after bad news without further explanation. Some critics even accuse them of not “allowing” her to perform. Thus, rumors are born.
What are your thoughts about it? Should there be more transparency? Sound off in the comments below, and remember to come back here often for all your K-pop news and updates.
