You may better know Jo Yu Ri for her role in ‘Squid Game 2’ and the upcoming ‘Squid Game 3,’ or, if you’re one of those earlier fans, recognize her from her stint with the K-pop girl group Iz*One prior to their disbandment in April 2021.
However, shortly after the girl group dissolved, Jo Yu Ri dived into building a career as a solo artist, releasing her debut single ‘Glassy’ in October of the same year.
Following her widespread recognition in Netflix’s sequel to the hit show ‘Squid Game,‘ she embarked on a fan concert. Now, she’s back with more music to the delight of many a-fan.

All We Know About Jo Yu Ri’s Upcoming Mini-album
On July 14, Jo Yu Ri will return with the lead single from her mini-album ‘Episode 25.’ The song, titled ‘Farewell for now!,’ will be coming two years after she dropped her previous EP ‘Love All.’ The EP spun the hit single ‘Taxi,’ which managed to earn the top spot on a television music chart show.
She performed the song, along with ‘Panorama’ – from her Iz*One days – at the fan event. She also performed an unreleased song ‘Growls and Purrs’ during the set, though there’s no confirmation yet whether the song will be included in the tracklist for her upcoming EP.
In the 14-second teaser for the upcoming Ep, the actress is seen at what appears to be a vegetable garden in a simple gown just basically being happy. I think the emotions she evoked with the short clip is one of tranquility and joy.

Jo’s run as a solo artist has been a truly interesting one with a string of awards including Rookie of the Year at the 36th Golden Disc Awards, Best New Female Artist at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards, and Rookie of the Year at the 31st Seoul Music Awards.
Last week, she joined fellow ‘Squid Game’ stars for the preview event arranged on behalf of the show’s upcoming third season. After surviving the previous season, she reportedly returns in one of the leading roles for what will be the third and final season in the ‘Squid Game’ franchise.
