Kim Tae Hee’s Agency Warns Fans About Impersonation Scams

Kim Tae Hee’s agency, Story J Company, which also represents other stars like Seo In Guk, recently issued an emergency statement to fans.

In the statement, they warned fans to be on their guard against impersonation tactics employed by fraudsters to defraud fans of the stars they represent.

Kim Tae Hee’s Agency Releases Statement Confirming “Multiple Reports” of Impersonation

On June 24, Story J Company, revealed that certain individuals have been posing as the company’s managers to commit scams.

“We have confirmed multiple reports of people impersonating our staff and engaging in fraudulent activities,” the agency said, before notifying fans that it is not company policy to request money from any fan or even pressure fans into submitting their personal information. “We do not request money or personal information from individuals for any reason, nor do we show business cards to request purchases of specific items or to make reservations for locations.”

“All such actions are illegal. If you receive suspicious contact, do not respond and report it to the police immediately,” the agency added. “We take this matter very seriously and will pursue strong legal action to prevent further harm.”

They continued: “We recognize the seriousness of this issue and plan to take a tough stance against impersonation and fraud. Please be especially cautious to prevent further damage.”

Story J Company is known for representing the likes of Kim Tae Hee, Seo In Guk, and Kim Sung Cheol. The former is considered one of the most beautiful actresses in South Korea, amd she is best known for roles in television programs such as ‘Stairway to Heaven’ (2003–2004), ‘Love Story’ in Harvard (2004–2005), ‘Iris’ (2009), ‘My Princess’ (2011), Yong-pal’ (2015), and ‘Hi Bye, Mama!’ (2020).

Tae Hee was discovered in 2000 when an advertising executive spotted her riding the subway and offered her a modeling job. She appeared in television commercials and print ads, before landing her first acting gig in a 2001 melodrama, titled ‘Last Present.’

She starred in more movies and short films prior to landing her breakout role as the wicked stepsister in the popular SBS TV series ‘Stairway to Heaven.’

Her most recent projects include 2020’s ‘Hi Bye, Mama!’ and 2023’s ‘Lies Hidden in My Garden.’ Her involvement in the upcoming project ‘Butterfly’ was recently confirmed.
