Jimin from BTS is breaking records once again. Whenever people think he’s reached his limit, he breaks through it. This week, he’s done it again and this time, his new record came on Spotify. Read on for all the details.
Massive Streams On Spotify
The major announcement? He reached a tremendous 6.5 billion streams on Spotify, and the surprising part is that this figure takes into account only his solo songs. No features. No collaborations. Just Jimin. According to AllKpop, he set a “new milestone in K-pop history by surpassing 6.5 billion streams on Spotify using only solo tracks with no collaborations.”
Additionally, the news outlet noted that he reached this figure from “just 22 pure solo songs released without any featured artists.” Naturally, the massive achievement makes Jimin the “first and only K-pop soloist to reach this figure solely through non-collaboration tracks.”
Massive Individual Success
The BTS K-pop star sits at nearly 8 billion streams in total. Interestingly, it means that over 80 percent of his total streaming power comes directly from his individual efforts. Notably, that’s rare for an artist who belongs to a major group like BTS. All on his own, Jimin became a global voice in the genre.

Headlining the list is his gigantic single “Who” off the MUSE album. The song’s been a regular feature on the Billboard Hot 100 for 33 weeks, breaking the record for the longest-charting track by a K-pop act.
Albums Also Do Well
As of the end of January 2026, “Who” achieved more than 2.25 billion streams. In fact, it’s crazy how that song stayed relevant for so long. People just keep on checking in for it. Then there’s “Like Crazy” from his debut album FACE, which performs strongly with 1.4 billion streams.
Solos do well, but so do his albums, and FACE reached over 2.69 billion. Meanwhile, MUSE reached 3.7 billion streams “in the shortest time ever for a Korean-language album.” It’s a lot of math. Basically, Jimin sits in a league of his own right now.

SoundCloud & Collabs
Before solo albums, K-pop fans also loved the smaller productions like “Lie,” “Serendipity,” and “Filter.” Those songs really laid down the foundation. They manifested the depth in voice that everyone adores. Also, “Promise” mustn’t be overlooked. It appeared on SoundCloud as a legend before its major platform release in 2018.
Jimin’s collaborations, of course, also did exceptionally well. The songs “VIBE” with Taeyang and “Angel Pt. 1” for the Fast X soundtrack were great. However, the new figures show that fans are more than just fans; they seem emotionally connected to him. Certainly he seems very talented at creating something that lasts and that feels real.
Trending While In The Military
Even though he served in the military when MUSE was released, the music still grabbed an audience that loved the power’s vibe. Actually, the fans who love his solo journey probably help BTS remain in top standing in the K-pop world in 2026.
