BIGBANG's Daesung - Zip Daesung - YouTube

If you follow the fast-changing websites about K-pop and K-dramas, you might have heard about a huge hullabaloo regarding BIGBANG’s Daesung. Bad news arrived just as everyone prepared for the 20th-anniversary reunion that G-Dragon shared. Read on to find out more about it.

Hype Ahead Of Tour

Up-to-the-minute sites like KpopWise already got the hype going for the upcoming tour. They quoted Galaxy Corporation as saying:

This year, BIGBANG will come back to coincide with our 20th debut anniversary,” G-Dragon shared at his recent fan event, expressing personal anticipation along with fellow members.

Well, Korea Boo’s all over the latest controvcersy. During a recent episode of a variety show, another idol pretty much outed BIGBANG’s Daesung for using a moisturizing cream that comes with a massive price of 2.4 million KRW per jar. That’s about $1,800 USD for one bottle of the stuff..

Loads Of Drama

As usual, netizens seem divided and many folks really love it. Dedicated and ever supportive, many of them simply call it “king behavior,” arguing that after so long in the business, he deserves to spoil himself. In fact, he could gold plate his face, and they wouldn’t complain.

Meanwhile, salty fans simply hate the flashy lifestyle of many idols. Actually, it all seems a bit over the top. And naturally, they debate the reactions about advert fees and question the ethics of celebrity endorsement.

The Unfairness Of Wealth Divides Fans

One of the biggest complaints revolves around the fact that so many K-pop fans scrape for money to buy tickets, and such luxury seems like a slap in the face.

The gossip all comes at rather a bad time as Tupac recently announced that the BIGBANG reunion definitely happens in 2026. Apparently, the group plans an appearance at Coachella, with new song releases, and a world tour.

Always A Pre-Tour Drama?

Usually, when a group plans a comeback, unfortunately, within a certain crowd, “cancel culture” police begin searching for flaws and always seem active. Actually, it already seems effective with the advent of the “luxury” scandal, and rumors about business deals.

Sometimes, it feels as if the never-ending drama is totally exhausting. If folks aren’t crying about the lyrics of “Flower Road,” they fight about a performer for flaunting their wealth and buying expensive face cream.

Your Thoughts

Still, it’s not unusual; rather, it seems annoying. As if folks don’t have anything better to do with their lives. What happened to just enjoying the music? After all, if BIGBANG’s Daesung has a singing voice is as silky as that high-end cream, probably most people would definitely put up their hands to watch the 2026 tour live.

What are your thoughts? Does the price tag of 2.4 million KRW represent “goals,” or is it getting a bit too “rich and famous” for your liking? Sound off in the comment section below, and come back here often for all your K-pop news and updates.
