G-Dragon revealed his early beginnings as an SM trainee, starting at the tender age of eight. He recounted how he was scouted by Lee Soo-man himself during a dance competition at a family resort.
“I went to a resort with my family and participated in a dance competition,” G-Dragon shared, “Lee Soo-man was the host, and I was casted directly.”
However, G-Dragon’s journey with SM Entertainment took an unexpected turn. He explained,
“I couldn’t find my place and suddenly learned to rap,” leading to his eventual departure.
He went on to train for 11 years before debuting elsewhere, highlighting the long and winding path to his iconic career.
When the conversation shifted to speculating what might have happened if G-Dragon had remained at SM, the consensus was that the company’s trajectory would have been significantly altered. Someone stated,
“SM would have been different, there is a suitable company.”
It was at this point that Aespa’s Ningning, a self-proclaimed BIGBANG VIP, chimed in with a hilarious and unfiltered response. With a playful laugh, she declared, “SM is normal.” Then, seemingly catching herself, she added, “No, it is proper,” while still chuckling in her charmingly imperfect Korean.
Ningning’s reaction immediately became a highlight of the episode and went viral on media due to it showcasing her down-to-earth personality and quick wit. Her comment, while lighthearted, provided a humorous contrast to the speculation about G-Dragon’s alternate reality at SM.
