The time has come for ASTRO‘s Cha Eun Woo to fulfill his mandatory military service. His agency, Fantagio, officially confirmed today, May 29th KST, that Cha Eun Woo has been admitted into the Republic of Korea Army Military Band and will be enlisting on July 28th, 2025.
Fantagio released an official statement detailing the enlistment plans:
“Cha Eun Woo, who recently submitted an application for the ROK Army Military Band, received a letter of admission from the Military Manpower Administration earlier today. Therefore, he will enlist for his mandatory military service through the new recruit training center on July 28. Upon completing his basic training, he will carry out the remainder of his mandatory service as a member of the military band.”
To ensure the safety of all involved and to prevent any potential issues from large crowds, Fantagio stated that the exact location and time of Cha Eun Woo’s enlistment will remain private, and there will be no special ceremonies. They kindly requested understanding from fans regarding this decision.
The agency concluded their statement by asking fans to
“send your warm words of cheers and encouragements to Cha Eun Woo as he prepares to fulfill his duties to his country and return healthy. Thank you.”
Before his enlistment, Cha Eun Woo has a busy schedule ahead. He is currently filming the upcoming Netflix original series, ‘The Wonder Fools‘. Fans will also have a special opportunity to see him perform live with ASTRO at their 4th solo concert, ‘The 4th ASTROAD [Stargraphy]‘, which is scheduled to take place at the Inspire Arena in Incheon from June 7th to 8th.
