Singer and actor Cha Eun Woo has taken a significant step towards fulfilling his mandatory military service, having reportedly attended an interview for the Republic of Korea Army’s military band earlier today, May 9th.
According to a report from Sports World, the ASTRO member was spotted at the Ministry of National Defense’s military band unit located at the Seoul National Cemetery, where the interview took place. Eyewitness accounts further corroborated his presence.
His agency, Fantagio, swiftly confirmed the news, stating,
“Cha Eun Woo did attend the Army military band interview today.”
However, they understandably refrained from divulging further details, emphasizing that the results have yet to be announced and requesting fans’ understanding during this time.
The application window for the Army military band closed at the end of March, with today marking the interview stage. The final announcement is scheduled for May 29th on the Military Manpower Administration’s official website.
Should Cha Eun Woo be selected, current expectations point towards him commencing his basic military training in July. Following the completion of this foundational training, he would then serve as an active member of the Army military band, utilizing his musical talents in service to the nation.
Cha Eun Woo is currently filming the upcoming Netflix series, ‘The Wonder Fools,’ where he takes on the role of Lee Woon Jung. Adding to his already packed schedule, he is also slated to grace the silver screen in the film ‘First Ride,’ portraying the character Yeon Min.
