Jungkook’s little known song ‘Never Let Go’ is quickly gaining massive listeners now that the certainty of a BTS reunion tour and album is confirmed. The ‘Seven’ hitmaker released the track for the group’s annual debut anniversary celebration, or Festa as fans know them.

In the song, he appreciates what his fans have done for him throughout his journey, since his earlier debut days as just another singer in a K-pop band to the global sensation that he is today.

‘Never Let Go’ Joins These Jungkook Tracks In Achieving Over 200 Million Plays On Spotify

It is without a doubt that Jungkook is one of the most significant stars of our generation, speaking in both the cultural and music sense.

It is also safe to say that he’s never forgotten the people powering his drive to the top of the charts around the world; you know, those fans who won’t stop playing and sharing his songs?

So to formally appreciate them, Jungkook wrote them one of the best fan songs that any artist has taken the time to write and produce.

Released in 2024, the song debuted in the Billboard Hot 100 on the 97th spot, making it his first entry in that calendar year. Its synths and mesmeric vocals could be said to have initially enchanted fans, with the song gaining 34.78 million streams in its first week. This made it the highest debut week streaming total for any K-pop song in 2024 on Spotify.

However, in comparison with his other gargantuan songs, “Never Let Go” essentially falls behind. Well, not anymore.

Because today it joins others like “Seven,” “Standing Next to You,” “Left and Right,” “3D,” “Dreamers,” “Stay Alive,” “Still With You,” “Yes or No” in gaining over 200 million streams.

For his fans, he sings, “And when the days get longer / You fill my world with wonder / Everybody needs somebody / You been that somebody / So stay with me and keep holding on.

In the repetitive chorus, he urges them to never let go, and judging by the artists’ charisma and dedication to his craft, I don’t think fans ever will.
