The legal woes continue for Kim Soo Hyun, as reports emerge of yet another lawsuit, this time concerning an advertisement contract. According to a report by media outlet YTN Star on May 2nd KST, a retail brand identified as ‘D’ has filed a damages lawsuit against the actor with the Seoul Central District Court, demanding a staggering 2.8 billion KRW (approximately $2 million USD).

The basis of the lawsuit? The brand ‘D’ alleges that Kim Soo Hyun violated his advertisement contract due to the recent controversies surrounding his private life. This marks the third such lawsuit the actor has faced from retail brands citing damages incurred from these incidents.

As previously reported, two other retail brands have also pursued legal action against Kim Soo Hyun, stemming from the accusations that he was romantically involved with the late actress Kim Sae Ron when she was allegedly still a minor. These controversies have cast a shadow over his public image and, consequently, his endorsements.

Kim Soo Hyun’s legal team has consistently and vehemently denied these accusations. Their stance is that his relationship with Kim Sae Ron was brief and occurred after she had reached adulthood. The actor’s side has also initiated a series of lawsuits against Kim Sae Ron’s family members and the YouTube channel HOVERLAB, accusing them of spreading false information, stalking, and defamation.
