On the final day of ComplexCon Hong Kong, NJZ delivered a stunning announcement to their fans: they will be taking a temporary hiatus. The announcement came as a direct result of a recent court decision that has blocked the group from pursuing independent activities under the name NJZ

Emotional Farewell to Fans

During their set, the members of NJZ expressed deep sadness and regret. Hanni addressed the crowd, stating,

“We will be pausing all [our] activities from now on.”

Haerin added, with visible emotion, that they had “heavy hearts” sharing this news, particularly at ComplexCon, as this stage “may be their last for the time being.”

The group emphasized that the decision to take a hiatus was not made lightly. “This wasn’t an easy decision,” they stated, acknowledging the impact it would have on their fans. However, they stressed that they respect the court’s ruling and believe it was a necessary step.

“We respect the court’s decision and will take time to catch our breath and collect our thoughts to regain our strength and move forward. We hope you understand that this is not the end, and we will definitely come back.”

A Promise of Return

Despite the setback, NJZ made it clear that they are determined to return stronger than ever. In a heartfelt letter read to the audience, the members expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support they received in Hong Kong.

“Coming to Hong Kong and receiving all this love… Honestly, we were mentally very exhausted and tired, but there was a lot we wanted to show the Bunnies, and coming to Hong Kong to be at ComplexCon, we were shown so much love and support (tears) (cheering). No matter what happens, we will continue moving forward.”

They reassured their fans that this hiatus is not a permanent end.

“But that doesn’t mean we’re going to give up. Before moving forward again, we respect the court’s decision and will take time to catch our breath and collect our thoughts to regain our strength and move forward.”

They promised to return with “bright smiles,” emphasizing their commitment to their fans.

A Message of Gratitude

The members concluded their message with a heartfelt expression of gratitude.

“To everybody who is believing in us, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you so much. We’ll be meeting again. The five of us always think of the Bunnies… This was Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein until now.”
