The Netflix series The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call has proven its popularity with a massively successful fan meeting. Held at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall, the “dopamine boost emergency” event saw an incredible 20,000 applications in just two days via Netflix Korea’s Instagram, resulting in a fierce 114:1 competition rate.

Overwhelming Fan Enthusiasm

The lucky attendees were greeted by the cast – Ju Ji Hoon, Choo Young Woo, Ha Young, Yoon Kyung Ho, and Jung Jae Kwang – along with director Lee Do Yoon, to thunderous applause. The actors and director were visibly delighted by the passionate response from fans.

Behind-the-Scenes and Interactive Fun

The fan meeting offered a unique glimpse behind the scenes of the drama, featuring engaging games, interactive events, and candid conversations with the cast. Ju Ji Hoon reflected on the show’s demanding preparation, stating,

“We worked hard, studying for 12 hours a day before filming. Seeing the positive comments and fans appreciating the actors has made these past two weeks incredibly rewarding.” Yoon Kyung Ho expressed his gratitude, adding, “Thank you for overcoming the fierce competition to be here. Thanks to the fans, my Lunar New Year was filled with celebratory messages.”

Cast Reactions and Memorable Moments

The cast also shared their reactions to the online buzz surrounding the series, including reviews, comments, and memes. Choo Young Woo commented,

“I’ve enjoyed reading all the reviews and comments,”

while Ha Young expressed gratitude for a comment that said,

“I only planned to watch halfway but ended up binge-watching all eight episodes in one go.”

Jung Jae Kwang humorously shared,

“Viewers keep asking me to put them under anesthesia. Thank you for loving ‘Park Kyung Won’ so much.”

Yoon Kyung Ho, known for his character’s iconic lines, recreated “Shut up and live, or don’t and die!” to the delight of the audience.

Director and Cast Insights

During a Q&A session, Director Lee Do Yoon explained the cross-edited sequences of Yang Jae Won’s daily life, saying,

“I wanted to incorporate it to highlight his growth throughout the story in a concise yet impactful way.” Choo Young Woo added, “Since the filming order aligned closely with the story’s progression, I truly felt Jae Won’s growth during the final surgery scene with professor Baek Kang Hyuk. It was an emotional moment for me as well.”

Ju Ji Hoon even suggested a nickname for the fans:

“Helicopters,” explaining, “Our helicopters have saved us.”

Heartfelt Gratitude

The event concluded with heartfelt expressions of gratitude from the cast and director:

Ju Ji Hoon:

“Above all, I am most grateful to the viewers. I also want to thank director Lee Do Yoon and everyone who worked tirelessly on this project. We’ve received so much good fortune because of you.”
