Yang Hyun Suk hinted at new music from BLACKPINK coming “soon.” This marks their first release since the iconic ‘BORN PINK‘ album nearly two years and eight months ago.

BABYMONSTER is also set for a busy season, with their pre-release single ‘HOT SAUCE‘ dropping on July 1st, followed by a second single in September, and a mini album on October 1st. Yang described ‘HOT SAUCE‘ as an “addictive” 80s-inspired hip-hop track, creatively exploring what early hip-hop would sound like performed by a teenage group.

Meanwhile, TREASURE is preparing for a new mini album release on September 1st. Yang confirmed YG‘s commitment to supporting the group with at least two albums annually and consistent fan interactions. Following their album, TREASURE will embark on a new world tour starting in October, solidifying their global presence.

The Dawn of a New Generation: YG’s Next Girl Group Revealed!

In a surprising turn, Yang Hyun Suk officially confirmed plans for YG‘s next generation of artists. He revealed that YG is currently nurturing two boy groups and two girl groups, with a particular emphasis on launching a new girl group consisting of four members!

Get ready for an unprecedented look into their journey, as YG will begin revealing practice footage of the new girl group members starting May 28th! Just like with BABYMONSTER, fans will have the unique opportunity to witness their raw talent and training through unedited practice videos. Yang encouraged viewers to judge the members’ skills directly, emphasizing transparency and the authenticity of their performances.

A Renewed YG: Accelerating Debuts and Expanding IP

Yang Hyun Suk concluded the announcement by highlighting significant internal shifts at YG over the past year. He stressed that accelerating rookie debuts and expanding intellectual property are now top priorities, promising fans a “newly upgraded YG” starting in the second half of this year.

The video’s closing teaser, “THE FIRST MEMBER OF YG’S NEXT GIRL GROUP. STAY TUNED,” has sent anticipation soaring. All eyes are now on May 28th, as the world eagerly awaits the reveal of the first member of YG’s brand-new girl group!
