In case you haven’t heard, all seven members of BTS members have completed their mandatory military enlistment. At this moment, there’s a lot of excitement in the air as regards to how the global K-pop band will choose to mark their comeback: album, single, tour, something even more mind shattering than any of the aforementioned?

Well, it might not exactly be what we’ve been expecting in the two years since we last heard BTS perform and release original material, but we’ll take what we’ll get. They’re releasing their first live album, and it comes packed with their greatest hits.

BTS’ First Live Album To Feature Their Greatest Hits

“Smooth like butter, like a criminal undercover,” or maybe not exactly like that: the main thing here though is that BTS is bringing a new form of entertainment right to our very homes. No need to leave your house or struggle to obtain tickets, the band’s inaugural live album ‘Permission to Dance on Stage – Live’ will find you wherever you are, since it’s dropping on all major streaming platforms this July 18.

It will be accompanied by a digital companion piece titled ‘BTS Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul.’ Before ‘Permission to Dance on Stage’ tour moved into the real world, it had started as an online concert.

However, shortly after the online concert premiered to amazing fan reception, the boys took it to the road, with a 12-stadium spectacle that spanned Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. It drew a total of 4 million total viewers and attendees through both in-person concerts and virtual streams.

The live album will feature 22 songs, including chart-topping hits like ‘Dynamite,’ ‘Butter,’ ‘Life Goes On,’ ‘Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey)’ and ‘ON.’ It will also mark the first release of these songs in live format.

The promise is that fans will get to experience “the electrifying energy and dynamic soundscape” that resonated through stadiums across the world.

In addition to ‘Permission to Dance on Stage – Live,’ the accompanying Seoul digital component will go even further by offering fans a comprehensive look at the tour’s final leg. This will come in the form of a 141-minute video from the group’s closing performance at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium in March 2022. To magnify fans’ experiences, this version also includes a 92-page interview photobook with behind-the-scenes content.

Fans can access this through a digital card format that unlocks high-definition VOD content on the Weverse platform.
