CRAVITY AWAKE - Starship K-Pop - YouTube

Like so many k-pop groups, CRAVITY had workarounds with military service, but they seem well-established now. New music arrives, but netizens feel upset with Starship Entertainment. Read on to find out why.

Recent News About The group

There’s a talk a lot of news around about the group who’ve been together for about seven years now. All Kpop noted this week that:

Starting with M Countdown on April 30, the group appeared on major music programs including Music Bank, Show! Music Core, and Inkigayo, performing the title track “AWAKE” from their eighth mini album ‘ReDeFINE.’

AWAKE Is Awesome?

Ahead of the weekend, STARSHIP posted up the boy group on YouTube. In it, they showcased everyone getting into their music. And, it was so very good that fans couldn’t say enough things about it. The video seems to be themed around the church and demonology.

For example, one fan wrote, “Ah, seriously, this is insane. I’ve never seen a music video this cinematic and goosebump-inducing before. It’s so cool, seriously.”

Another one said, “What is this? I came to watch because I heard they were wearing priestly robes, but it feels like I watched a 130-minute movie in just 3 minutes…. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such an awesome music video.”

However, a common thread started in the comments that slammed Starship.

The Big Problem

What’s the problem? Well, it’s too good and fans hate that more promotion hasn’t been done to get CRAVITY out there where they deserve to be. One k-pop fan wrote:

There is now only one weakness left for Starship to overcome Marketing… Please, do some promotion.

Certainly they were not alone in their criticism. Here are a few more similar responses from the comments section:

  • I’m a fan of another group, but… this is absolutely not the kind of quality that should just be buried like this…
  • Starship, please start some viral marketing already, seriously.
  • Starship, it’s not like you’re a company that doesn’t know how to run viral marketing, so why on earth aren’t you doing it?
  • How can you release a music video and song like this and not promote it…. I just came here after watching a fan video…
  • Starship, please read the comments written by fans of other groups and LUVITYs…
  • I want more people to know about CRAVITY and AWAKE!
  • Cravity is the most underrated group tbh.

What Do You Think?

Do you agree that the group is just awesome? But do you also agree that Starship isn’t going enough to promote their music? Let us know in the comments below, and remember to come back here to find all our k-pop news and updates.
