The recent Netflix variety show, “The Devil’s Plan: Death Room,” has become a hotbed of online discussion, but not always for the right reasons. Following its full release, one of its prominent cast members Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun has found himself at the receiving end of a barrage of malicious online comments. This has prompted his agency, Antenna, to take a firm stance, issuing a strong statement and announcing impending legal action.

On June 4th, Antenna released an official statement, expressing their dismay at the “multiple instances where expressions have gone beyond freedom of speech to severely damage our artist Kyuhyun’s personal dignity.” The agency detailed the nature of these harmful remarks, citing “malicious posts including incitement to disrupt his activities, spreading false information, abusive language, and sexual harassment.” These comments, they stated, have not only caused distress to Kyuhyun but have also impacted the mental well-being of his dedicated fanbase.

Antenna emphasized that they are not taking this lightly.

“Based on evidence collected through monitoring and reports, we are preparing strong legal measures,” the agency declared.

They further asserted their commitment to protecting their artists, stating,

“We will continue to take legal action against any defamatory acts targeting our artists in the future. We are committed to doing our utmost to protect the rights and interests of our artists.”

Kyuhyun’s participation in “The Devil’s Plan: Death Room” has undeniably sparked mixed reactions online. While some viewers have engaged with the show’s premise and its strategic challenges, a significant portion of online communities and social media platforms have seen critical and negative feedback aimed not only at Kyuhyun but also at fellow cast members actress Yoon So Hee and influencer Jeong Hyun Gyu.
