Spread the love

The BTS boys are back indeed. Late last month, fans were thrilled with the news that all seven members of the global boy band have reunited upon completing their military service.

As if this was not enough, a documentary based on that super fandom, called ARMY, which has been driving BTS to new heights since their debut was announced. It was a particularly exciting news for fans, because it signaled that even more treats were on the horizon.

Shortly after, it was revealed that the band plans to release their first ever live album ‘Permission to Dance On Stage’ on July 18. Old favorites like ‘Butter,’ ‘Dynamite,’ ‘Boy With Luv’ (feat Halsey), ‘Life Goes On’ and 18 others will be featured on this live record.

We thought we were fed, until they announced the latest surprise. Tour and album in 2026, you say? My calendar is cleared.

BTS Says Upcoming Album Will Feature Thoughts And Ideas From Each of Its Seven Members

This coming 2026 will not only see fans enjoying brand new BTS music, but will also have them experience the band going on tour for the first time in over three long years.

“We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music,” the band said in a statement. “Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas. We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.”

The press release also announced that the boys will soon be traveling to the US to start work on the album in earnest.

In addition to the album and tour, the group also talked about their individual pursuits, including J-Hope’s upcoming Lollapalooza Berlin headline performance and Jin’s recent shows in Korea, which they gushed “was a show that only Jin could pull off.”

I think this year has been a particularly significant one for K-pop, what with BTS reuniting, Netflix’s ‘K-pop Demon Hunters’ topping the movie charts, and BLACKPINK coming together once again for a massive “Deadline” tour that will stretch across major countries and their capitals.

In addition to this, aespa will be releasing a brand new album and NewJeans have failed to terminate their contract with ADOR after all.
