Hello,
This is BIGHIT MUSIC.

We would like to address recent media reports concerning BTS’ alleged participation in a Michael Jackson tribute album.

BTS has neither visited Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland nor taken part in any recording sessions at the location for the mentioned project. The group is not involved in the tribute album in any capacity.

We are continuing to take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of inaccurate information.

We express our sincere gratitude to fans for continuously showing support for [the group].
We remain fully committed to supporting the artists and their endeavors.

Thank you.

In the comments section, some people repeatedly slammed the K-Pop band for not considering the Gaza issues, but that was way off topic. Others did talk about the rumors, and some of them wished more denials would happen when it comes to other rumors.

Other Reactions By Fans

One person wrote, “I wish they could protect and deny things as fast as this when it comes to personal rumors and invasion of privacy for the members :(“

Here are more reactions from the discussion area:

  • and that is why we never trust outside sources.
  • I’m not believing anything anymore unless it comes from the boys or BH. Damn it I knew better.
  • Thanks for the clarification! But the fact that BTS takes inspiration from the great Michael Jackson remains & there’s no better artists who can reinterpret MJ’s unique style.
  • not to be that person but i wanna call you out, why donʼt you release these notices when theyʼre ACTUALLY needed?
  • And we were so excited, too. Glad they clarified. But I don’t regret that one day of giddiness over the possibility.

The End Of Some Hope

As you can see, there were people who supported the idea of a Michael Jackson collab with the band, despite a lot of other social media platforms hating it. Well, it’s not going to happen, so for now, the whole rumor can be put to bed. As one fan said, “I’m devastated, goodbye, I’m going back to sleep.”

What are your thoughts? Did you like the idea of a collaboration with the King of Pop? Or do you think that the two genres will never really go together well? Let us know in the comments below, and come back here often for all your Korean music and culture news and updates.
