Seunghan, formerly a member of the popular group RIIZE, is officially preparing to make his solo debut. This exciting development marks a new chapter for the artist, who will be stepping into the spotlight on his own terms.

On June 9, a representative from SM Entertainment confirmed to DongA.com,

“Seunghan is currently preparing for a solo debut, aiming for a release in July. Please look forward to it.”

This announcement solidifies earlier whispers that first surfaced in November 2023, when SM had already indicated their support for Seunghan’s individual pursuits. At that time, the agency stated,

“Seunghan is continuing his training with full support in areas such as production and management to prepare for his solo debut. He aims to show a new side of himself as a solo artist and pursue his dreams and talents. We ask for your warm support and interest.”

Seunghan’s journey has certainly been a noteworthy one. He initially debuted as a member of RIIZE in September 2023, quickly gaining attention. However, his activities with the group were indefinitely suspended that November following personal controversy. Since then, RIIZE has continued to thrive as a six-member group, achieving significant success with hits like “Love 119” and “Boom Boom Bass,” solidifying their widespread popularity.

The path to his solo debut hasn’t been without its twists. SM had initially announced Seunghan’s return to RIIZE in October, but after a strong backlash from fans, the decision was reversed just two days later, and his departure from the group was ultimately confirmed.

Following his departure, Seunghan shared a heartfelt apology to his former members and fans, expressing his desire to no longer cause harm and his sincere hope for RIIZE to continue to be cherished and supported. This statement resonated with many, showcasing his respect and well wishes for his former group.

Now, with a solo debut on the horizon for July, fans are undoubtedly curious and eager to see what Seunghan will bring to the stage as an individual artist.

We wish Seunghan all the best as he embarks on this exciting new phase of his career!
