The internet was abuzz recently with speculation about a potential romantic relationship between K-Pop icons G-Dragon and TWICE‘s Sana. However, G-Dragon’s agency, Galaxy Corporation, has officially stepped forward to set the record straight, clarifying the “misunderstandings” surrounding the rumors.
The speculation initially intensified after G-Dragon posted and subsequently deleted a social media photo that included a tag of Sana. This led many to believe there was more to their interaction, especially since Sana had appeared on stage as a special guest with TWICE.
Galaxy Corporation, in their statement released on June 2nd, explained the situation was far less romantic and much more professional. They revealed that G-Dragon and Sana had participated in the filming of the YouTube web variety show, “‘Dex and Sana’s Fridge Interview‘” on April 14th. The tag, according to the agency, was “merely a friendly gesture following the shoot,” and they stressed that “aside from their appearance on the show, there has been no further contact or personal relationship between the two.”
The delay in addressing the rumors was also clarified by Galaxy Corporation. They explained that,
“Since the episode hadn’t been announced yet, we couldn’t immediately deny the rumors due to concerns about spoiling the show.”
G-Dragon’s appearance on “‘Fridge Interview'” is set to air on YouTube on June 5th at 7 p.m. KST. A preview clip featuring Dex and Sana as co-hosts was pre-released on May 30th, generating significant buzz for the upcoming episode
G-Dragon is currently in the midst of his 2025 world tour, ‘Übermensch‘. Sana, who debuted with TWICE in 2015, continues to achieve success with the group and is also active in their Japanese subunit MISAMO. TWICE themselves are gearing up for the release of their fourth full-length album in July.
