Actress Go Min Si has found herself at the center of a fresh controversy as school bullying allegations surfaced online. However, her agency, Mystic Story (Mystic Actors), has swiftly moved to quell the rumors, issuing a strong denial and expressing unwavering trust in their artist.
On May 26, a representative from Mystic Story told iMBC,
“We are aware of the post. We trust the actor. The claims are groundless.”
This statement comes after an anonymous post, titled “We are the victims of actress Ko ○○’s school bullying,” was uploaded to an online community earlier the same day.
The anonymous author of the post claimed to be a former middle school classmate of a prominent actress, detailing alleged acts of violence and unethical behavior. While the actress was not explicitly named in the post, netizens quickly connected the dots, citing details such as the actress’s former legal name, past photos, and a previous public apology from 2020 regarding underage drinking – all pointing towards Go Min Si.
The accusations leveled against the unnamed actress were severe, including claims of “bullying multiple classmates, extorting money and belongings, verbal abuse, and mocking students with disabilities.” The post further alleged that the actress involved delinquent peers from outside the school and even boasted about her actions.
Despite the gravity of these accusations, Mystic Story has unequivocally stood by Go Min Si, asserting that the claims are false. This isn’t the first time Go Min Si has faced public scrutiny. In 2020, she publicly acknowledged and apologized for an incident of underage drinking, labeling it “a careless mistake.” This past transparency is likely why netizens were quick to draw parallels with the current allegations.
The anonymous poster concluded their statement by emphasizing that they are not seeking an apology or compensation. Instead, their stated hope is that the actress “halts her activities permanently to prevent further harm.”
