BamBam, a beloved member of the K-Pop group GOT7, has officially parted ways with his management agency, Abyss Company. The announcement came on February 6 KST, leaving fans curious about the artist’s future endeavors.

Official Statement from Abyss Company

Abyss Company released an official statement, saying:

“Hello, this is Abyss Company.

First and foremost, we would like to relay our gratitude to iGOT7s for their continued love and support.

In light of the expiration of BamBam’s exclusive contract, Abyss Company and the artist engaged in a lengthy and serious discussion. Respecting the wishes of both sides, it has been agreed that the exclusive contract will conclude without renewal.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank BamBam, and we also wish to cheer him on in his future activities and new beginnings.

Please send the artist your unchanging love and attention.

Thank you.”

A New Chapter for BamBam

BamBam’s journey in the K-Pop industry began in 2014 with his debut as a member of GOT7 under JYP Entertainment. After his initial 7-year contract with JYP expired, he signed with Abyss Company in March of 2021.

Despite BamBam’s departure from Abyss Company, GOT7 recently made a highly anticipated comeback as a group with the release of their new mini album, ‘Winter Heptagon,’ last month. The group also successfully concluded their 2025 solo concert, ‘NESTFEST,’ this past weekend, running from January 31 through February 2. This successful reunion and concert likely hold a special significance for both the group and their fans, iGOT7s, given the members’ individual agency situations.

Fan Reactions

The news of BamBam’s departure from Abyss Company has sparked a wave of reactions from netizens. One fan expressed,

“His latest release was probably the best yet. I hope he goes somewhere that makes him happier.”

Another commented,

“Good. He was miserable.”

These comments reflect the mixed emotions and concerns of fans as they anticipate BamBam’s next chapter. The K-Pop world now waits to see what the future holds for this talented artist.
