South Korean comedian Park Na-rae isn’t really a K-drama star, but she’s well-known and this week, she faces some serious accusations involving medications. Read on for more details.

Prescription Drug Abuse Allegations

The original report arose when Dispatch investigated allegations that Park Na-rae was involved in illegally receiving prescription medications, including psychotropic drugs, from an unlicensed individual. Korea Boo also cited the article and claimed that the person is known as the “injection auntie,” or as Miss Lee.

According to the outlet, the main problem seems to be the type of medications being administered. Apparently, evidence such as chat logs and prescription records supposedly showed Miss Lee obtaining at least enough drugs to supply Park for two months.

Obtaining Meds Through The Wrong Channels

Notably, some of these medications included antidepressants that shouldn’t be used as aids to getting a good night’s sleep. The problem seems to be that anyone, not just K-drama personalities, needs such medication to be obtained through proper channels.

In terms of Article 33 of Korea’s Medical Service Act, none of them should have been obtained or administered outside of a correct environment. However, Park Na-rae allegedly got hers administered in places like an office and her own van.

Disposal Of Medications

Of course, the final disposal of used medication also falls under controls in Korea. And, how were they able to collect such serious drugs? Usually, the patient would collect them themselves. Well, according to Dispatch, the serious allegations met with denial.

They cited the reps of Park as saying that she only ever used legal home-visit services from fully licensed medical staff. However, Dispatch disputed that. In fact, they called for a criminal investigation into both Park and the “injection auntie.”

Other Problems

K-drama and K-pop fans had already heard that more controversies arrived for Park Na-rae. Recently, management of the TV star accused her of toxic workplace abuse and bullying. Actually, it brings to mind the likes of people like Ellen DeGeneres.

Right now, the two sets of allegations place the spotlight firmly on Park, and could heavily impact her public relations. When you realize that she has a rather significant career, it seems that she could be a poor role model. After all, she’s known for Netflix specials and top entertainment awards.

Booked By The Cops?

According to an update by MBN News on YouTube, Park has been booked along with her mother, and others. Interestingly, a former manager was also picked up by the police.
