In a surprising and exciting turn of events, Red Velvet‘s main vocalist, Wendy, has found a new agency to call home for her solo endeavors. According to an exclusive report that surfaced earlier today, April 25th KST, Wendy has signed an exclusive contract with the start-up label, ASND.

The news follows ASND‘s intriguing teaser posted earlier on their social media channels, hinting at the arrival of a new artist. This announcement has now been confirmed, marking a significant step in Wendy’s solo career journey.

Wendy’s decision comes after her departure from long-time agency SM Entertainment earlier this month, on April 4th KST. While she will be embarking on new solo opportunities under the ASND banner, ReVeluvs can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Wendy will continue her activities as an indispensable member of Red Velvet

Interestingly, ASND is already home to a familiar group: fromis_9. Currently, members Song Hayoung, Park Jiwon, Lee Chaeyoung, Lee Nagyung, and Baek Jiheon are signed under the same label. This connection sparks curiosity about potential future interactions and collaborations within the ASND family.

Shortly after the initial reports, ASND officially confirmed the news, stating,

“Red Velvet’s Wendy has signed an exclusive contract with ASND. We are excited to welcome this multi-talented artist. We also intend on fully supporting Wendy’s group activities with Red Velvet.”

What kind of solo music are you hoping to hear from Wendy under ASND? Are you excited about the potential for interactions with the fromis_9 members at the same agency? Share your thoughts below!
