G-Dragon recently shocked fans with news that he will no longer be performing at the Bangkok arm of his Übermensch world tour.

However, he released a statement seemingly promising fans that the cancelled concert might be rescheduled. Should fans hope?

G-Dragon Blames “Unforeseen Circumstances” As Reason He Cancelled the Bangkok Arm of His World Tour

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon surprised fans when his team put out a message on July 11 to say that the performer won’t be honoring the Bangkok arm of his tour, which was originally scheduled to take place on August 2 at Rajamangala National Stadium.

Since tickets are yet to be made available for the concert, the cancellation does not come with the hassle of refunds.

The translated version of the statement reads, “We are deeply regretful to share that, due to unforeseen circumstances, “G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [ÜBERMENSCH] IN BANGKOK”—originally scheduled for August 2nd—has been cancelled.”

They continued: “We understand how much many of you were looking forward to this performance, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your ongoing patience and support. We truly appreciate our fans in Thailand and hope to see you again very soon.”

G-Dragon has been hitting a lot of stadiums in his current tour, with his most recent happening in the Taipei Arena on July 11, 12 amd 13. The next days will see him at Kuala Lumpur’s Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil on July 19 and 20.

Prior to embarking on what will become his first North American and European tour, G-Dragon promised fans that they’re going to be entertained by big visuals and never-before-heard music.

“I’m excited to return to tour in the U.S. and Europe after eight years,” G-DRAGON, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview. “This tour is not just a performance — it’s a canvas where every sound, look and moment is part of a larger expression of who I am now.”

This era has been a particularly interesting and exciting one for the K-pop artist’s fans, with brand new music and a possible reunion with his BIGBANG teammates.
