Following the online furor surrounding her blunt social media comment on THE BOYZ‘s Sunwoo‘s alleged rude behavior, actress Nana has taken to her Bubble DMs (a paid messaging service for fans) to clarify her intentions and thoughts on the escalating situation.

In a candid message to her subscribers, Nana expressed her surprise and discomfort over the controversy her comment ignited.

“It seems like people talking about my comment,” she began. “Seeing people leaving malicious comments and apologizing on my Instagram, I was surprised. I didn’t write that comment intending to make it a big deal, but it keeps getting bigger and it bothers me.”

Nana went on to emphasize that her reaction was based solely on the specific actions she witnessed in the viral video and not a judgment of Sunwoo’s overall character.

“It’s not that I judged that person’s character based on seeing just one video,” she stated. “That person’s action was very impolite to me and was a rather shocking experience for me. So, setting aside the person himself and just looking at that action and those words, I just thought that kind of behavior shouldn’t happen. That’s what I meant.”

She then provided a more detailed account of what she observed in the video that led to her comment.

“While looking at the fallen AirPods, he said loudly to everyone, ‘Those are my AirPods.’ He looked at that place which was just a few steps away, but didn’t move a single inch. Who are they telling to pick it up? Is it a situation where he can’t move? Or is it that someone who looks young is always treated lightly? Is it because they thought it was some cheap thing? Anyway, I didn’t say it to pick a fight. But anyone in that situation could have misunderstood.”

Nana’s explanation suggests that her issue wasn’t solely about the lack of a bow, but also about the perceived expectation that someone else would pick up his belongings without any apparent effort on his part. Her mention of the security guard’s age and the value of the item hints at a potential concern about power dynamics and respect.

Concluding her message, Nana reflected on her own reaction and the broader implications of such behavior.

“So, I’m cautiously looking back at that time. And it’s not that I’m saying my initial reaction was completely right. But if I had just passed it by like nothing happened, wouldn’t that have been seen as just letting that kind of behavior go? That’s what I’m saying ^^”

What are your thoughts on Nana’s clarification and the entire situation?
