The K-pop world recently witnessed a poignant moment of remembrance as ASTRO released “Memory of the Moon,” a heartfelt tribute song dedicated to their beloved late member, Moonbin, on the second anniversary of his passing. This moving project, which also saw the participation of 22 fellow artists and pledged all proceeds to charity, was intended as a loving commemoration.

However, in a disheartening turn of events, the release has been followed by a wave of malicious comments circulating online. These comments have reportedly raised unfounded concerns about the tribute’s intent, even suggesting it’s a form of commercial exploitation.
In response, ASTRO‘s agency, Fantagio, has issued a firm statement, making it unequivocally clear that they will not tolerate this online vitriol. On April 23rd, Fantagio announced that they are preparing to take strong legal action against those responsible for spreading malicious slander and rumors that defame ASTRO‘s reputation.
The agency emphasized that these actions, often hidden behind the veil of anonymity, constitute clear legal violations. They stated that they have been diligently monitoring the situation and will now proceed with legal action without any leniency. Furthermore, Fantagio acknowledged the invaluable support of fans who have been providing crucial evidence via email, underscoring the collaborative effort to protect ASTRO‘s rights and interests.
In response to the online attacks, AROHA have also taken a proactive stance, reportedly organizing a truck protest to demand legal action against those spreading harmful content. This united front from both the agency and the fandom demonstrates a powerful commitment to protecting ASTRO and Moonbin’s legacy.
