BTS leader RM has sent excitement through the fandom with a subtle yet significant update – the countdown to his military discharge has officially entered its final 50 days!
On April 21st KST, RM took to his Instagram story to share a simple screenshot that spoke volumes. The image, captured from a countdown application, clearly displayed the message:
“50 days left until discharge! Have you planned your final vacation?”
Uploaded without any accompanying caption, the visual was enough to ignite joyful reactions from fans who have been eagerly marking the days until the return of their leader.
RM began his mandatory military service in December 2023, and is slated for discharge on June 10th. He enlisted on the same day as fellow BTS member V, who will also complete his service on the very same day. The reunion momentum continues with Jimin and Jungkook scheduled to return just a day later on June 11th, while SUGA, who is currently serving as a public service worker, will officially be discharged on June 21st.
Despite the constraints of his military service, RM has thoughtfully maintained a connection with ARMY through his social media presence. He has previously shared glimpses into his life during leave periods, offering small tokens of his well-being to his fanbase. Earlier this year, in January, he posted a poignant message reading, “2025, I’ve been waiting for you,”.
Meanwhile, Jin, the first BTS member to complete his service in June 2023, and J-Hope, who was discharged in October, have both actively resumed their solo careers.
