NewJeans Shakeup: ADOR Announces Group Member Changes

NewJeans news arrived on December 29, that the ADOR agency gave a statement about the future of the controversial K-Pop group. Read on to find out what’s happening now.

The Good News

Remember, the last news about the group arrived in mid-November, when the group stopped their war with ADOR and speculation mounted as to whether everyone would return. Well, the new update covered by K-BUZZ on YouTube seems to show that some things might not be fixable.

Who is returning? Who isn’t keen to stay? Actually, only one remaining member of the outstanding girls has so far confirmed they signed up for a contract. Apparently, it took a lot of dialogue and negotiation, but Hanni put up her hand for it.

Citing the statement and the situation, the K-BUZZ narrator said that Hanni and her parents spent time in Korea during negotiations. She wanted to take the emotion out of all the drama about NewJeans, so they discussed it “objectively.” Finally, she “decided to respect the court’s ruling” and stay with the team.

Not So Good News

Meanwhile, things didn’t go so well with other members. For now, Minji remains in talks and the K-Pop agency tries to “broaden mutual understanding” with her. Perhaps, in time, that will be fixed and more good news will arrive.

The biggest shock of all, though, was the position that Danielle found herself in. She’s out, gone, finished, done, and dismissed by the look of it. Apparently, ADOR decided that she was too “difficult” to deal with going forward. So, she got a notice “of the termination of her exclusive contract.”

ADOR Hits Back

Actually, the agency seems very angry with Danielle and her family. In fact, they plan to nail someone in the family, along with former CEO Min Hee-jin. In their viewpoint, they need to be held “legally accountable” for the mess. Their opinion revolves around a belief that the group could have gotten back together way before now but for problems with them.

The big bust-up came when the members of NewJeans tried dumping ADOR. However, court hearings ended up favoring the company. At one stage, the K-pop girls talked about appealing the decision, but that came to nothing. Letting bygones go, fans heard last month that Hyein and Haerin already returned. So hopefully, the group will start making music again.

Fans React

In the comments section, it seems unfortunate that all the drama annoyed a lot of people. One fed-up fan opined, “NewJeans should just disband at this point.”
