K-pop fans demanded more transparency from D-Nation when it came to Park Bom, and now, they got a clearer idea of when she might perform again. Previous last-minute cancellations got 2NE1 fans into a spin.
Doctors Orders – Quit & Rest
At the moment, Park Bom quitting activities with 2NE1 seems to be temporary, but she’s missed a lot of concerts. While D-Nation is being more open on Instagram about her ill health, actual specifics still didn’t arrive this week. However, fans now know not to expect Park to participate in the Waterbomb Bali 2025 event in September. And perhaps for many months to come.

D-Nation Information on 2NE1 Activities – Instagram
Presumably, as she’s quitting the September show, fans shouldn’t expect to see her perform in any other events with Sandara Park, CL, and Minzy, at least not for the next couple of months. On Instagram, as translated by @aldrigepark_, D-Nation explained:
We would like to inform you that Park Bom will not be able to participate in 2NE1’s future schedules.
We are deeply saddened to share this news, as many fans have been supporting 2NE1’s full group promotions.
We recently received medical advice that Park Bom requires sufficient rest and stability, and after careful consideration, we have made this decision.
We ask for your continued support and encouragement as Park Bom recovers.
We also appreciate your continued support for Sandara Park, CL, and Minzy, who will do their best to ensure that Park Bom’s absence is not missed.
A Mystery Ailment
Nobody knows what is actually wrong with the K-pop star, but there has been a lot of speculation, especially as she seemed to have fluctuated in weight. However, the most obvious clue that something might not be right seemed to be the use of filters on social media.
Meanwhile, others wonder if a rumored relationship got in the way of Park Bom’s performances. If nothing else, the latest update does mean that fans won’t be disappointed at the last minute with successive cancellations ahead of performances.
Fans React In The Comments
In the comments section, instead of being angry like they were with last-minute no-shows, there seemed to be more sympathy for the performer. But obviously, speculation remains.
One fan wrote, “We respect her decision to prioritize her health above all. 3 can’t be 2NE1, but we’re here to support each member activities whether 3 or 4. We luv you, Queen, and wish you the very best always.”
Here are a few other reactions to Park Bom stepping down:
- We will miss you Park Bom! Come back stronger please.
- Well, we hope Our Spring will recover and comeback stronger. We wish you all good health.
- …your health is important hope you will be back again as GOOD BYE UNTIL THE DAY WE MEET AGAIN …
- Though we really wanted to see her perform we are more than happy to see her healthy even though that means behind the camera. Take it easy Parkbom, we love you❤️ Relax, enjoy , spend time with your family/friends and stay healthy.
One follower talked about her age, noting that the Korean performer is over forty now. While she doesn’t look it, perhaps the heavy schedule is taking a toll on her.
