FIFTY FIFTY are doing really well at the moment, but it wasn’t always like that. Read on to find out what’s happening in September of 2026.
Doing Well
According to AllKpop, the group “marked their second debut anniversary on September 20, holding a live session with their fandom TWENY.”
During the event, “the group used the broadcast to look back on the two years since debut, describing the run as a stretch they spent alongside the fandom rather than apart from it.”
Court Battles
FIFTY FIFTY didn’t always have it easy and back in 2023, things looked to be on the downside. Per Substack’s Let’s Talk K-Pop, “the rookie girl group seemed poised for global domination.” However, “Legal disputes with their label have frozen them in place.”
At the time, one fan said in the comments, “Whatever happens, I just really want them to be able to sing and dance because they are truly talented!”
Yahoo Entertainment carried a story about how the original four members of the k-pop groug took legal action against ATTRAKT to terminate contracts. The agency seemed to believe that third party involvement made for the fight and it did seem a bit messy. Eventually, Keena dropped her lawsuit and returned, but three others had their contracts terminated.
Fresh Start
FIFTY FIFTY became a five-member unit and Keena welcomed new bandmates Chanelle Moon, Yewon, Hana, and Athena, and they redebuted to lots of approval from fans who hoped for better things.

Releases like their 2024 EP Love Tune helped them move forward. Yahoo Entertainment pointed out that they became “the fastest K-pop group to enter the US Billboard Hot 100” with their smash hit “Cupid.”
Bumps Along The Road
Despite some success, AllKpop explained that “the second year has been an uneven one for the group.” The outlet reported that “member Hana halted activities in March over health concerns, and FIFTY FIFTY has [been] promoted as four members since.”
The outlet also reported that “fans marked Hana’s 20th birthday with messages during that break earlier this month.” Meanwhile, former members Saena, Sio, and Aran formed a separate group named ABLUME.
On The Charts
AllKpop reported that “their earlier promotions put ‘Rock Paper Scissors’ and the B-side ‘Skittlez’ on the Mediabase 40 and Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart in the United States.” Since then, the group has dealt with legal problems and changes to the lineup. Despite all of that, they’ve managed to find their way back onto the global charts.
