Red Velvet‘s Wendy is officially gearing up for her highly anticipated solo comeback, slated for September of this year. This marks a significant new beginning for the idol, as it will be her first solo release since her departure from long-time agency SM Entertainment in April and her subsequent signing with the promising startup agency, ASND.

According to an exclusive media outlet report on July 24 KST, Wendy is diligently preparing for her return to the music scene. This upcoming project will be her first solo material in approximately a year and six months, following the release of her critically acclaimed 2nd mini-album, ‘Wish You Hell,’ in March 2024.

Wendy’s departure from SM Entertainment earlier this year was a major talking point within the industry, signaling a shift in her career trajectory. Her decision to join ASND, an agency that has also recently signed several members of fromis_9, has piqued the curiosity of fans, eager to see the new creative direction and opportunities this partnership will bring.

Known for her exceptional vocal prowess and versatile artistry, Wendy has consistently captivated audiences with her powerful renditions and emotive performances. Her previous solo works, including her debut mini-album ‘Like Water‘ and ‘Wish You Hell,‘ showcased her depth as a vocalist and solidified her standing as a compelling soloist.
