You might recall that back in December, Park Na Rae, a famous comedian, made the headlines for the wrong reasons. It involved her being booked for allegedly using illegal prescription medications. Well, there was some fallout and the news now reveals a dispute with her managers.
Complicated Problems
Apart from the drug charges which she denied, Park Na Rae was also in the news for other issues. Park Na Rae and her managers clashed because, allegedly, there was a toxic vibe with workers and staff. And issues about payments.

Weighing in on Park’s complex problems – YouTube
The latest news that arrived via AllKpop claimed that the dispute with her former managers is becoming quite hectic. The former Netflix star isn’t playing around, and despite being a comedian, there’s not much for fans to laugh at. K-drama sometimes becomes more dramatic in real life than on TV.
Lawyers Weigh In
Apart from past tax issues, and more controversy, a bunch of lawyers weighed in on January 16. It came on the YTN program: ‘Lee Won Hwa Lawyer’s Case X File.’ The outlet cited attorney Kang Eun Ha, who said:
This matter has gone beyond a simple entertainment industry dispute and is now multilayered, involving tax law, the Labor Standards Act, and even medical law.
There was also a lot of debate about who was paid, whether they were family or workers. Certainly, the drama with Park Na Rae sounds rather complicated. Then, attorney Jang Hyun Oh talked about whether the comedian could end up going to prison over the illegal injections that were allegedly given by “Injection Auntie.”
Piling it up, there are some issues that can’t really be ignored. Tax questions, prescription meds questions, bullying in the workplace, all make for a lot of real-life drama.

K-Drama & K-Pop Fans React
Netizens reacted on YouTube, and some rather interesting opinions arose. One person commented, “Regarding the inside director registration, Park Na-rae’s side and the manager’s side’s accounts are very different. And there’s also a newly released agreement. While the verdict will determine who’s right and wrong, it seems Park Na-rae has already lost a lot…”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion that followed:
- With the money she’s earned so far, Park Na-rae will be able to live comfortably for the rest of her life… but it seems like it’s going to be hard for her to be treated like a human being.
- [Managers have] been preparing a long-term framework to drive Park Na-rae into ruin.
- Park Na-rae’s manager keeps changing his story and telling quite a few lies. At first, he denied asking for money, then he said he asked for 250 million won, then 500 million won…
