Oh My Girl’s main vocalist Hyojung prepares to share a new collection of music with her listeners, and it sounds like fans will be keen to get ahold of it. Read on to discover the latest updates about her upcoming release.
A Solo Mini
According to an article by Allkpop, “Oh My Girl’s Hyojung is set to release her first mini album ‘Lost&Found’ on October 15 at 6 PM KST.” Music Stack Metrics notes that she’s also recorded various soundtrack (OST) songs, collaboration singles, and special solo tracks. The Allkpop write-up noted that the EP opens “a new stage of her solo work.”
It arrives roughly five months after her previous single came out in May. Before this solo step, fans knew her best through group efforts. She kickstarted ehr career with Oh My Girlback in 2015 after training at WM Entertainment for six months.
Input and Control
Hyojung is taking more control behind the scenes for this release. According to Allkpop, “Hyojung took part in writing and composing for the album herself, with credits on the title track and on the B-side ‘Look Around’.”

The outlet noted that “the release gives her the most direct say she has had so far in how her solo sound is shaped.” That hands-on approach builds on years of musical history. Oh My Girl earned major commercial hits like “Nonstop” and “Dolphin” in 2020, followed by “Dun Dun Dance” in 2021.
Hyojung also joined the group’s sub-unit, Oh My Girl Banhana, back in 2018 alongside Yubin and Arin. KProfiles shared that she can play the piano and sang in her school choir for seven years, which gives her plenty of musical background for writing songs.
Live Concerts Follow Soon
Reportedly, “she will follow the release with a small theater concert, ‘HYOJUNG 1st LIVE Lost & Found,’ at Xscala in Jung-gu, Seoul on October 17 and 18, two days after the album comes out.”
Tickets move very fast for events like this, and fans will want to keep an eye out for the pre-sale of tickets that become available on October 1. General sales start on the following day. Her international promotions begin after the domestic shows and she’ll be taking her concerts to Japan for solo performances there so fans outside Korea will get their chance to her watch her perform her new songs live.
Her KProfiles write-up noted that “Hyojung lived in Thailand when she was a few weeks old until she was six.
Hyojung is known for her bright smiles and small figure, [and] She is also known as a look-alike of ZE:A’s Dongjun.”
Her many “hobbies are singing, watching dramas and variety shows.” Fans and friends aslo know her by her nickname, Candy. Working at a meat shop before becoming a K-pop star was definitely an unusual career trajectory.
