
Actor Kim Seon Ho celebrated his birthday on May 8 with a donation to support a good cause in South Korea. On May 11, his agency, Fantagio, confirmed the actor donated 50 million won, approximately $36,000 USD, to a precious welfare plan.

On May 11, his agency Fantagio announced that Kim Seon Ho donated 50 million won (approximately $36,000 USD) to the Korea Association of Senior Welfare Centers in celebration of his birthday on May 8.
A Meaningful Act
The decision to support the cause reportedly stems from the actor’s experiences on various shows. While filming for Coupang Play, Kim spent time interacting with elderly residents. Clearly impressed with it, the K-drama star felt motivated to help seniors with educational opportunities.

The All K Pop report noted that the donation “will be used to support educational opportunities and social participation programs for senior citizens at welfare centers nationwide.”

Not The First Time
Certainly, it’s not the first time that Kim Seon Ho made a big meaningful gesture in the area of philanthropy. In previous years, Kim directed his birthday donations toward various causes. Some of those instances included support for children battling leukemia and programs helping young adults transition into independent living.

If you don’t know, the actor started out in 2009 in theater and fans became so impressed that he’s dubbed “theater idol.” He transitioned to TV in 2017 with Good Manager and Strongest Deliveryman, but his global breakthrough arrived in 2020.

While his career faced a brief pause in 2021 due to personal life problems, the matters were resolved through mutual agreement, allowing him to maintain brand partnerships and return to the spotlight.
The generous icon joined up with Fantagio in March 2025, and continues revealing his talent in various genres. He’s been seen in film involving historical dramas and the 2023 thriller The Childe, earned him Best New Actor honors.
